On client check ins I ask a few vital questions... 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐎𝐔? 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐰 are you?
These questions tell us so much more than photos, weight and measurements. I've worked with 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 (& men) over the years and I've seen a direct correlation between stress and zero results. Without knowing the full picture, during a review of one week a coach could assume... 𝐈 𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝. 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤. 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐲𝐦. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝. And then prescribe... More cardio Less food Instead, when every factor is taken in to consideration, the coach... 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 (𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞) 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝟖𝟎%. This served two purposes... 1.) Allowed my systems to restore. Work harder when you're stress rarely ends well and just causes your body to fight back usually. 2.) Consider my life. Being told to stay strict while I was already in a deficit and stressed and not responding would have sent me into a mental spiral that would have resulted in a binge. With my program, these are the kinds of conversations that we have and methods that you use to make sure that you are making progress in a SUSTAINABLE fashion.
