650 Backers + Kickstarter love us!
Hello trend,
The Kickstarter campaign for OpenCV for Beginners if off to an explosive start!
Barely a few hours into the campaign, we already have three pieces of good news to share with you.
First, we got funded in 27 minutes! Frankly, I would have been thrilled even if we were funded in 47 minutes. Ahem.
Second, more than 685 people have backed our project so far. Thank you so much! It is such a pleasure and an honor.
Third, Kickstarter gave us the coveted "Project we love" badge. Woohoo!
What a lovely image to practice color based segmentation, image thresholding, and OCR!
If you are sitting on the fence watching that blinking heart, let me remind you that EARLY BIRD discount ends at 10 AM Pacific Time, May 19, 2021. That's less than a day!
We came up with this incredible deal so you don't have to think!

What are the students saying?
OpenCV for Beginners will be a brand new course, and so we do not have user testimonials for this course. So, let me share a few testimonials from Computer Vision I which is an advanced version of this course.
Our students have remarkable diversity in age, gender, race, and professional / educational backgrounds. It is heartwarming to hear such kind words from such a diverse group of students.
"The course exceeded my expectations in many regards — especially in the depth of information supplied. The keyword "engineering oriented" surprised me nicely. " - Atanas Rogachev, Senior Software Engineer, Lifelogger Technologies Corp.
"All of this [course material] has really helped me to actually learn the content, and I feel like the investment has been well worth it." - Ceda Fusia.
"I am really impressed with the mix of rich content offered in the course (video + text + code), the reliable infrastructure provided (cloud based execution of programs), assignment grading and fast response to questions on forums." - Satheesh Babu, Software Engineer.
"The way they explain all the concepts are very clear and concise." - Leo Quiroa, Head of AI, Synapbox.
"I really enjoyed this course which exceeded my expectations. It summarize the important computer vision aspects you should know which are now eclipsed by deep-learning-only courses." - Ikbel Boulabiar PhD in HCI, Founder of Concepta.me and Aptum

First Steps
In the winter of 2011, I witnessed an event that was nothing short of a miracle for a new parent like me.
I had seen our son, who was 13 months old at that time, cautiously stand up, take one little step, get scared, lose balance, and fall down. Again, and again, and again.
On this fateful day, though, he threw caution to the wind, miraculously conquered his fear, and off he went to enjoy his two-legged freedom.
Those were his first steps. Not gentle cautious steps. His sprint across the room was an act of rebellion against gravity!
Starting something new is hard because your first steps need to defy the status quo. An idea brews in your mind to start or learn something new, but fear and procrastination conspire to keep you from taking your first steps. Then one day, you know it is time. You have waited long, you have thought hard. It's time for action.
Use this Kickstarter campaign to re-ignite your dormant interest in computer vision and AI. Use the momentum created by hundreds of students who will join this course to take your own first steps.
If you are still unsure, I suggest you back the campaign now to lock in the EARLY BIRD prices. Kickstarter does not charge your card until the end of the campaign and you can back out anytime between now and then
Cheers!
Satya
