No ‘exodus’ in Seattle: The pandemic has sparked what some describe as an “exodus” of Silicon Valley tech companies, employees, and investors who are relocating to Austin, Miami, and other metros for a myriad of reasons. But new “inflow-outflow” migration data from LinkedIn shows that the same trend isn’t happening in Seattle, which is attracting an increasing number of Bay Area tech transplants. Read more

Kymeta raises $30M: The Redmond, Wash.-based antenna venture landed more funding, this time from Hanwha Systems, a smart-technology company headquartered in South Korea. The investment follows an $85 million funding round led by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates in August.

The drones are coming: After months of feedback and fine-tuning, the FAA issued its final versions of safety rules for drones that fly over people and at night — including the drones that Amazon is developing to make package deliveries. The rules “get us closer to the day when we will more routinely see drone operations such as the delivery of packages,” said FAA Administrator Steve Dickson. Read more.
