Ketiara Organic Women's Lead Co-operative   On the 1st of each month we change coffees, guest roasters and the coffee regions. These are always special microlots single origin coffees with extremely high SCAA quality ratings. One of our coffees this June is an Organic from the Ketiara Women's Lead Co-operative in Sumatra, Indonesia. In 2008, Mrs Rahmah organized local farmers into a co-op and is the only women-lead coffee co-op in Indonesia - an impressive achievement in a male world Grown at 1200-1500m in the region of Gayo Highland, Takengon, Central Aceh, this lot consists of Bourbon, Typica, Cattura, and Catimord beans that are semi-washed and sun-dried. Roasted by The Roasting Plant, probably the most technologically advanced roaster in the UK right now, you'll be impressed.  An SCAA sc ore of 84, wonderful aroma, balanced taste and notes of chocolate, sage, thyme make this a great all-rounder. This is the perfect month to get started. Other coffee regions this month include Peru, Uganda, Brazil, and decafs from Colombia and Uganda.
