Steve first met Elizabeth (Beth) Greenwell (Tom Greenwell's sister) in the mid-1970's while attending New Mexico State University where he was finishing his MS degree in Agricultural Economics. Steve and Beth married in 1977 and spent some time in the San Joaquin Valley of California before moving to Kona to join the Greenwell Family business in Kona. During the 1980's, Steve managed the business side of WH Greenwell Ranch, a large family cattle ranch in Kealakekua, Hawaii. Most of the ranch was sold in the late 1980's, but Tom Greenwell and his father, Norman Greenwell focused on the coffee lands near the Mamalahoa Highway. Steve managed the business side of the venture that eventually evolved into the current Greenwell Farms business. Currently, Steve and Beth live in Taos, New Mexico to be near their grandchildren. Steve telecommutes each day and periodically travels to Kona. Thank you, Steve for all that you do! It's Back!
