Hey coffee lover,
We all know that fast food isn't the healthiest stuff around.
But when you're short on time, it can be a lifesaver.
The same can be said for instant coffee.
Don't have time to brew a fresh cuppa in the morning? Instant to the rescue.
Traveling? Carry a small jar of instant coffee, just in case.
But is instant coffee bad for you?
The short answer is, "not really."
Because instant coffee is just brewed coffee that's been freeze-dried (in most cases).
It contains stuff that you'd find in brewed coffee.
That means you get all the benefits of the caffeine boost, as well as a healthy dose of antioxidants.
The problem is that most people don't drink instant coffee black.
It's the other things that you add to your cuppa—sugar, cream, etc.—that can be unhealthy.
In that sense, instant coffee is not better or worse than brewed coffee.
But if you're downing several cups of instant coffee in a day, you could end up consuming too much acrylamide, which isn't good.
