If you would like to refresh your memory, here is a few minutes of that race (please try to disregard the terrible commentating by the Americans at the microphones): In October, Aram Lemmerer, a high performance rowing coach and entrepreneur who is helping crews all over the world to reach their potential, launched a 23-minute video, The Fastest Eight in the World, on YouTube where he explains why the New Zealand oarsmen won the Olympic gold medal in the eights. You might not agree with everything what Lemmerer is saying or how Tony O'Connor, the Kiwi eights' coach, is training his crew, but there is marvellous rowing in this video, so sit back and just enjoy.
