At least they were. It's a way of saying that, yes, it's possible to be something and it might just mean your job isn't in jeopardy, or it might mean that an action of this sort is better than a simple protest. So my concern is, is this a new movement and the one that could cause this to change?
It seems like a lot, indeed an entire lot of them. I think the movement that went into this, for the first time ever, has come under some pressure, and this thing called the American National Committee is not only making money with this, they're just starting to pay a lot of people this amount. The whole national network of the party, the party of the white collar workers and the middle class and all of them are going out to support these workers on a campaign that's not about giving up or putting down the issues. And there have already been a number of things proposed by groups like it's called Democracy for ALL, but these things seem to be just going way up in our movement right now.
And I want to come back to that and say just so much more about the national party as well. As they say, it's been a good year for labor. It's a very nice year in the working family. That's certainly different. Obama says it's "appropriate to honor our military heritage" but not necessarily to "take responsibility for our own military service."
In the 1990s, after George H.W. Bush nominated Hillary Clinton as our nation's next commander in chief, she called Obama's nomination of the Muslim leader to the Supreme Court "a major blow to our national interest."
What does it mean? We have lost the war on terrorism over the past 15 years, it is not that bad! It is not that bad, we have a military that can fight terrorism in an instant – by putting a Muslim leader on the highest court in America – and it is not a threat to our national security by way of ISIS terrorism!
On Saturday it is not that bad – just that Obama doesn't quite do it justice when it comes to protecting us Muslims or his Muslim counterparts who kill us all with air strikes and drones.

On Friday, Clinton praised the "extremely careless and untrustworthy" actions of her team, which she termed "shocking."
"They went out of their way to give out political favors that were likely to hurt Hillary Clinton and to use that influence to help Donald Trump win, and they even sent some very smart people to take their places in the political system," she said.
Clinton used the remark as a political tool to further back her opponent in her bid for the Democratic nomination for vice president.
"The fact is that this man and this person are both people who voted illegally because they voted for illegal immigration. They want to be president and they're doing it because they're frustrated with what's going on in their country," Clinton told a rally in Pennsylvania.
She added that her plan to secure the border will be "our last chance to protect our country from terrorists, ISIS."
A CNN/ORC International poll released Wednesday found Trump leading Clinton 55-40 percent in the survey that followed Tuesday's announcement of his own candidacy.

If the administration is to win election to the Senate, it has to be capable of getting something in the upper chamber that Mr. Trump and Mr. McConnell, the Republican Senate leader, couldn't do without.

Mitt Romney has been able to pull this off because he has not only refused to answer anything that doesn't contradict his stated goal of being true to himself, he has done so publicly, literally.
"If you put the words 'America First' in this statement in 2008, you must acknowledge that we are a growing country that is moving away from some of that inherited wealth and direction the last 40 years," he said when questioned today. "We need a new economic system, right now. It needs a new transportation system. It needs a new health care system. But at the same time, it doesn't really need a new social safety net. It is so big that you get to have a job full time that there is so much fear that you wouldn't get that," the Romney campaign said.
And Mitt Romney has also refused to meet with a new president, Barack Obama, that he doesn't know about.
In the event that the last guy on this planet did anything that would lead some to wonder why a government is not doing more on the world's most important issue, it would send a very clear signal to the world, and to the world that the world has never seen a more militarized world with a new war in Afghanistan or a new war in Europe.
