Hello trend,
This is Satya Mallick from LearnOpenCV.com.
Training YOLOv5 on Custom Dataset is one of the most requested topics by our audience.
So, we created a blog post, shared code, and have now created this video to walk through the code.

Death of Human Civilization or Watt?
Humans were staring at mass starvation leading to massive decline in population.
Or at least that was the prediction made by English economist Thomas Malthus.
He noted population was growing exponentially while the production of food was growing linearly.
It was a matter of time before humans either died of starvation or killed each other to control the few resources inadequate for the entire population.
Watt was wrong with Malthus' argument.
That's not a question. That's a statement.
James Watt's steam engine put the human civilization on an unprecedented growth trajectory.
Steam engines were crucial for not just transporting fertilizers and food, they also played an important part in fertilizer factories, and in powering equipment in coal mines necessary to fuel fertilizer production.
The effect of steam engine was not felt for a while.
In fact, James Watt and Matthew Boulton demonstrated their 2x more efficient steam engine in 1776 at a British coal mine. That was more than two decades before Thomas Malthus proclaimed we are headed for a disaster!
The current state of computer vision and AI is what the steam engine was in 1776. We have successfully demonstrated the promise, but industries that will benefit from AI are still catching up.
The AI revolution is in its infancy. Decades of growth is in front of us.
Human life will be changed by the AI revolution more than it was changed by the industrial revolution.
I invite you to join the revolution that will transform your career. We will help you from your first steps to mastery in computer vision and AI through our courses.
All our course and bundles are available at a 25% discount during Independence Day Sale!

P.S. : The story of Thomas Malthus and James Watt is coverer in the book More from less by Andrew McAfee. It's an interesting read.
