Price Increase

In August 2021 the International Coffee Organisation recorded the 10th consecutive month of coffee prices increases. The price of green coffee globally is now 51.3% higher than in October 2020.

The main factors influencing the price globally are:

Coffee production has fluctuated at a different rate to world consumption of coffee and we now face increased demand.
Lack of rainfall in key coffee producing countries is leading to poor harvests which yield smaller quantities of coffee.

This is being compounded by particular circumstances in Brazil, Vietnam & Colombia.

The pandemic has led to rising costs of shipping making it more expensive for coffee beans to get here.

It is also impacting the cost of packaging, fuel and other inflationary factors.

How this affects you

We are therefore unable to maintain our current pricing and are forced to increase our prices with effect from Monday 18th October.

The price of our roast & ground coffee range will be increasing by 15% and other products will be increasing by an average of 6%.

Our mission is to offer you the best experience with the best products possible. As a specialist coffee roaster and tea merchant we don't compromise on quality or substitute cheaper alternatives.

We hope that you understand the necessity of this price increase and will continue to support us.

Thank you,
The Farrer's Team
