☕ The art of a good disguise (Part 3 of 4) ☕

Hello we,

See what I did there there?

Now I know your name, we.

I can preface your email with it, we.

Sorry, we, there I go, overusing it again.

In the last email, I promised you two more steps to make sure you never drink another bad coffee.

Patience, that part is coming later.

Let's first talk about the paper bag on my head.

Or rather let's talk about how I got on national TV with a paper bag on my head.

Evening news and morning news.

CityTV got in contact with me to ask about how I review coffee shops.

I try to be as anonymous as possible, so I get a 100% authentic experience.

They asked me how I did this and I jokingly told them I wear a paper bag over my head.

The rest is history. You can see the whole debacle here:

Me with a bag on my head

Over the last four years, I've built out my website to include many different things.

Reviews.

Local Coffee News.

Q&A's.

Competitions.

And general Tomfoolery.

Sound familiar?

When I got you to fill in your name and email address, I asked you what content you wanted to receive.

I'll be sending you specific mails about those things.

That was step 2. Easy huh?

Step 3 is even easier.

Every year I hold a massive survey on what coffee shops are the best in Vancouver.

Thousands of people vote.

Then I shine it all up, making it look pretty and create a Top10 list.

Here are the first few to get you started:

10. Timbertrain Coffee Roasters
9. Craft Café
8. Prado Café
7. Revolver

The list is long so I'm only putting a few in this email.

Your next step is to read the full Top10 here.

Tomorrow I'm going to give you my final, and easily my best tip to make sure you never drink another bad coffee.

It's actually a guaranteed money back step.

Tom aka Vancouver Coffee Snob

P.S.

Remember in the first email when I said I'd found myself in a Starbucks in the past?

It's true, I have.

For shame.

But this isn't a bad thing, Starbucks has a lot of things going for it.

They have a slick service process.

They treat their staff well.

They have an app that allows easy ordering.

Independent coffee shops don't have that.

Or do they?

They do, I was just being dramatic.

I'm going to tell you all about this tomorrow and it's going to rock your socks off.

Same time, same place.

Don't be late, there.
