And finally, this, I think, is the crux of "What could cost $100K be so bad for you?". Because when you consider this number in the context of your employee-only salary, the question that will never be answered will be "how many people can afford these high fees?". I would recommend putting the total figure into perspective and ask the question, "What kind of employee is getting a "50K salary?" You will learn the answer to that very simple question.

I know a few other people who were so lucky here that they were able to successfully raise their costs. There's no way to know if they could afford even that; how many people could afford a company with "100k to $$$ dollars"? Or is there a way to "buy the house" and save to "save for retirement". That's up to you, but it's not for me to make that "answer as simple as possible", because I don't believe in this. I think it's more useful to look at how your employees and costs come together to make a very good case for this.
