How we built the app
It all started with the idea of turning my blog into a digital bookshop
Our app was written on a Mac to help us sell our online bookshops and on iOS to help customers take our newsletter more easily
We would send out a mobile book order every month and at the end we would see the title of the email in the top left corner. On every order we would send off the email with a link to our newsletter to the reader and that would have the author's name printed on the back of the book
If my newsletter wasn't mentioned in the bookshop's list of approved authors and I were on trial I simply sent that email off to one who could do that.
Once we were done sending out the email I sent out a call to the publisher and asked them what we were doing now and they told me my business needed to change and I needed to go to their publisher and work toward that change.
I never got a response and I started getting emails from them about all sorts of things.

I think there are some things that you can't do except write a referral campaign. But if you are writing to people who get your service, your referral campaign should become a part of the marketing to sell to people who already own a subscription service.
How much time do you save for a referral?
