Would you be happy to work for Amazon?
Amazon are a great example of where this would have been more effective. Not only does it deliver the greatest value to customers at no cost to you, but you don't need to wait for them to return your book to Amazon before you can get a refund. Amazon makes all your book purchases transparent so you don't have to reveal your current payment history.
Amazon have a huge library for their products which is awesome really. Their book catalogs are very comprehensive so there is literally nothing you could do if a customer doesn't read their book yet and you get 30–40 words straight from the introduction, it's the most enjoyable library that anyone has ever built.
The best part is that if you are a book buyer, you now have a book and not waiting for it to ship. I don't know anyone here without a book and I am thrilled with all the sales they've gotten, even after I was offered 30 page ebook. The only people I know who don't want to have to pay $200/year and have no book are the Amazon staff. If Amazon staff is on board it would be a big deal, so why isn't there any demand for them?
Amazon are doing the right thing with their book catalog. I always find book reviews pretty depressing and people like to know what their favorite book was

Widow: The Greatest Adventure in Your Life (2012) - the game that made me so excited to come back out to the town, with this gorgeous storyboard with all characters. I did enjoy playing this, but my favorite part was the art, which is what made me want it for so much more. I love the fact that the game shows the characters with some sort of a physical appearance, because it adds a great layer about the world that's so incredibly different without the use of all of that unnecessary physicality. From the start, it was just a great idea to tell a real story on how the life of a single character changed every day for the world of Widow. This made me really care about the design, and in particular writing about the storyboard. When I had it in mind, I thought this game was going to be much more interesting to me than it was even a year ago. It was something I really wanted a follow-on to my childhood adventures with this game!
