Hello ,
If you're a customer of The Coffeeworks, or if you're thinking of becoming one, then this email is for you.
Even if you're not a customer, this will probably still be relevant to you, as the current situation with Royal Mail is effecting most of us in some way.
Due to the recent strike action over the past couple of months, backlogs have been increasing and delivery times have been increasing accordingly.
They now appear to be the most stretched they've been so far, which is no surprise given the strikes alongside Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales.
Please be aware that if you have already placed an order with us, and you're awaiting delivery, your order won't have got lost, it will be stuck in the backlog.
You should have received an email when you ordered (please check your spam folder if not) with the tracking link, if you click on that it will simply tell you that there's no info to show until delivery has been attempted.
While this isn't very helpful, what it does show is that they've not yet attempted delivery, which means it's still in the system and isn't lost.
In most cases customers are receiving their orders within around a week, sometimes a few days later than this. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to do anything until/unless that tracking info changes to state that they have delivered or attempted delivery.
For anyone who is thinking of placing an order in the coming weeks, please be aware that we have no control over delivery dates, so if you're nearly out of coffee and require fast delivery, it's highly recommended that you choose the DPD delivery option.
There are many more strikes planned for December:
9th, 11th, 14th & 15th, 23rd & 24th.
So things are unlikely to get any better when it comes to their backlog leading up to Christmas.
If you're ordering for pre-Christmas delivery I'd highly recommend that you place your order before Monday the 12th of December if choosing free Royal Mail delivery, or that you select DPD delivery.
While I'm here, did you know that Fruit Cake Blend is on offer as the coffee of the month?
