Hey coffee lover,
Last Friday, I told you about Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee, arguably the most famous Ethiopian coffee growing region. But it's far from the only great coffee produced in the country. This week, let's talk about another: Harrar.
Ethiopia is the homeland of Arabica coffee, and much of it is blessed with the ideal conditions and climate for growing and processing specialty beans.
Harrar is located to the northeast of Yirgacheffe, and while its coffee offers a similar flavor profile, it's not the same. In fact, if you can get your hands on coffee beans from both regions, it makes for a fun and informative coffee tasting. Coffee from Harrar is known for jammy fruit and floral flavors, winey acidity, and spicy notes.
