Frequently Asked Question

Let's go over some questions you may have before make your decision to back the campaign.

1. Which Combo is best for me?

In my opinion, there are three good options based on your personal situation.

CV Supreme
is by far the best bang for the buck. It consists of all our courses including OpenCV for Beginners. This is for people who are committed to start a career in computer vision and AI, and ready to invest in their long term education.

OpenCV for Beginners
is for people who want a quick start in computer vision and AI, and/or want to do so on a budget.

CV DL Starter is for people who want a solid foundation in both traditional computer vision and Deep Learning (a.k.a Neural Networks), but do not want all four courses.

2. How can I buy one of the advanced courses without buying OpenCV for Beginners?

You can back the campaign at the lowest pledge level ($1) and add existing courses as Add-ons on the next screen.

3. Are there any prerequisites for OpenCV for Beginners?

Just one - you need to have working knowledge of the Python programming language. If you have never coded in Python but are familiar other programming languages like C++ or Java, we will direct you to free resources to quickly learn Python. If you have no programming experience, I would not recommend this course for you.

4. But I am not good at Math.

We will explain concepts intuitively without going into hairy mathematical details. Remember, this is your first step in computer vision and AI. We will make it gentle and fun.

5. I have already bought Computer Vision I. Does this course make sense for me?

If you have already purchased Computer Vision I, there are very few reasons to purchase this course. First, if you have still not enrolled in Computer Vision I because of lack of time, this short course may be the jump start you need. Second, you will get introduced to some new applications. Third, by supporting the course you support the development of the free OpenCV library, fund activities like OpenCV AI Competition, and also support free content on LearnOpenCV.com

6. I have more questions.

Simply reply to this email with your question, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

7. Is this course appropriate for high school students?

If they know Python programming, some highly motivated high school students may enjoy OpenCV for Beginners. For what it is worth, my 11 year old son has picked up some OpenCV and enjoys creating projects (Snake Game, Tetris) with it. However, we have not specifically designed this course for high school students in mind. If you choose to buy this course for your child, please take the course with them. You will have a blast building cool applications along with them.

Please support us either by backing the campaign and/or spreading the word.
