Some months ago, I got a parcel delivered by Amazon at my Home. That evening, my good friend Balak called me & asked me if had got the "Dhoop Sticks" made by Phool. I said " Yes" and Balak replied "Meri taraf se tere liye gift " meaning its a gift for you from me. He quickly went on to add that Phool was a startup which made Agarbattis & Dhoop Sticks from Floral waste of Temples. I used the Dhoop over the next couple of weeks & was amazed by the subtle fragrance they had. But thats it, that was the end of the story & I never once again thought about buying any 'Phool' Product.
Fast forward to the present day. All e-commerce giants are running their Freedom Day Sales & I was checking if I could get some deep discount deals on good quality products, the likes of Bose, Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, Book Shelves, etc. Somehow I remembered that I had not used any 'Phool' Product for some time now. I typed in the name in the app and I was dejected " Theres no discount and they are 20% expensive than even ITCs Mangaldeep" I said to myself ( most of the times we do this chindigiri to save a couple of bucks, I am no exception). The delivery too was not on the next day, it was a after a long 7-8 days. Yet, I went ahead and ordered.
After this so called long wait, I finally got the product delivered home. The packaging was top-notch and as soon as I lit the Agartbatti, our entire home was filled with a ''bheeni bheeni khusbu'. You know the same fragrance that lingers in temples and other places of worship across India. It is said that fragrance stimulates your creative thinking and thats what happened to me too. I put up a WA post with a pic ( the same as this Blog pic) and captioned it " Superb Fragrance, Pricey though....well, a classy Parimal was never cheap..but does it take a Phool to know that?....©️कायपन " Now here the wordplay or Pun was "Parimal means fragrance ... yours truly & not the Rice... Phool means Fool and not the flower "
Enough of my 'khud ki laal karna' , lets get back to the topic. So if you want to order Phool products just search on Amazon or go to their website. You can read more about the story of this startup here https://phool.co/pages/our-story Notice the appreciation by Paul Polman, then CEO of Unilever on this webpage.
Support this business, order their products and tell me if any of your creative juices started flowing with this natural Phool fragrance. Mine surely did..
Thats all from me this morning, enjoy your Sunday
Pro Tip : You will get many hardcover books on good discount during these freedom sales on e-commerce website. Order them rather than the latest electronics which you will not use much anyway.
P.S: The products that I ordered
