Today we've got nothing but good news -- including new pricing and availability info on some of the most highly-ancicipated laptops of 2021, as well as some signals from E3 that Nintendo is prepping for a Game Boy Advance renaissance. Enjoy!
After being announced earlier this year, Dell's flagship XPS 15 and XPS 17 laptops are finally available for purchase. Though these notebooks look like sleek productivity machines, don't let the svelte designs of the XPS 15 and XPS 17 fool you — the laptops come with serious gaming chops with their 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and Nvidia RTX 3000 series graphics.
The XPS 15 tops out with an RTX 3050 Ti, making it a capable on-the-go gaming system, while the larger XPS 17 comes loaded with up to a Core i9k processor and Nvidia's RTX 3060 discrete graphics.
Dell announced that the laptops are now available on its website. Pricing starts at $1,249 for the XPS 15, whereas the XPS 17 starts at $1,449.
After years of dashed dreams, Nintendo finally delivered the Direct event fans always dreamed of. The company was able to overcome historically overblown expectations and delivered a memorable E3 2021 presentation that saved an otherwise weak show.
From Metroid to Wario, it felt like Nintendo obliged some of fans' loftiest expectations over the years. You know a Nintendo show went well when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 wasn't even the biggest talking point when all was said and done.
What was most surprising about the presentation was that it was steeped in a very specific kind of nostalgia. It was a show for Game Boy Advance fans, and that sets the stage for a long overdue renaissance for the classic handheld.
Astronaut Shane Kimbrough lucked out when he snagged what has to be the coolest "bedroom" of any of the crew members currently staying on the International Space Station (ISS). Sleeping aboard the docked Crew Dragon spacecraft, Kimbrough is the only astronaut on the orbiting outpost who enjoys a room with a view. And what a view it is, too.
Fellow astronaut Thomas Pesquet this week tweeted a photo taken through one of Crew Dragon's windows. It's an idyllic scene, showing a dimly lit Earth with part of the space station's solar panels in the foreground. Pesquet said Kimbrough can sleep in the vehicle "until we give it back and it's reused by the next crew!"
