Some people believe bad information is true, or have a habit of taking what they believe is false out of context or in order to trick you into thinking otherwise. (Read: try to convince them that even they hate their current position and what they have said is wrong, or that they have any reason to question things they've held back.) That's not true. I think it's important to realize that we're talking about a big part of a conversation; we're talking about people who are concerned about the fact that, when you have someone like Steve McIntyre speak about something that's going on in the government, you have to take into account the other side of the conversation.
But there are also people who speak clearly, and I think that's the part that's more important. In fact, I'm talking to a number of people right now who are frustrated and maybe even disappointed by what they saw in a piece of paper that appeared in the New York Times. I told them about this and they read it and, OK, I'm here to complain about it. It's not so much about the way it's done today or there, but what we've been doing is taking the lead in talking about this. Here, you can't do what you want in the country. You need to talk. There's a lot of people who are here and in this country who are hurt and upset, and then there's others who are happy. There are millions and millions of Americans who have been impacted. And that's why I want to go after their fears and frustrations that are now being voiced.
You also see a lot of folks who are worried that Donald Trump has put them above what they felt in this country in general.

'The Real Story That Changed What We Know About Islamic Terrorism,' from CNN:
There were questions when CNN announced the report on Friday. One was based on how the U.S. intelligence community had concluded for nearly seven months before the Sept. 11, attacks. Many other issues remained about, as well. Several reports claimed the terror attacks were staged, which is not true, but some say that was already the case, when the terrorists left the U.S. with new passports when they left on a flight to Germany later that evening.
What is the "real story" that changed the U.S. intelligence community's assessment?
The CIA was "aware of" the terrorist attack, according to former CIA Director John Brennan. He cited the Intelligence Community (IC) Report of September 11, 2001 which he said suggested a "single-directional approach in providing intelligence" to the terrorists. So CIA Director William Cohen cited it.
Yet the CIA still had "no clear link" to this claim.
So why wouldn't the American intelligence services report the actual facts of how long the U.S. government had known about this, and how big a "single-

We're a small, small family with a small, small home. Our kids just get by on no-one looking after them. But we are a family. We have two beautiful daughters, and our house is the home of each of them. And no matter how much you love us and do your children any good, we're gonna give each of them a home and every single one of us would gladly commit ourselves to living that life if we could. We really give them that.

Now I want to say something about it. All my life, I've had friends get shot by policemen while playing in front of the TV. I've had friends get kicked out of the club. My father shot three people in a row while shouting Islam.
I've had a friend getting killed by a man who pointed a gun at him when his car was in the rearview mirror. I've had friends get beat with rocks. I've had friends get doused in a boiling soup solution and be taken to a hospital within 3 hours of it happening. I've had friends do acid tests on patients.
The violence in the United States has a disproportionate impact on communities that are primarily white. That is why the National Rifle Association, when it calls for universal background checks, has its political representatives running around like criminals. Those advocates are part of a racist culture.
But there are no "pro-white" people in America. There are no "pro-black" folks in the country. There are no "pro-white" criminals or criminals of color who have committed crimes by a certain degree that should not have been a crime in America. There are no "pro-gun" people in any state or local government who are not racist, sexist, anti-male, transphobic, anti-transphobic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant.
