SHOP The Grasshopper Tea Warehouse When a young Thomas Atkinson opened his Grasshopper Tea Warehouse back in 1837, it was one of five tea merchants in the bustling port of Lancaster. Now one of the city's oldest businesses, we are a rare link to Lancaster's Georgian, mercantile history. Atkinson's were also early adopters when it came to coffee. To this day, our original 1945 shop roaster still gets fired up for the occasional weekend roast.
