Hey coffee lover,
After the initial release (and huge success) of the original Aeropress, the brand added only one new product in 15 years -- the Aeropress Go. But things have changed. Aeropress has a new investor, and suddenly we're seeing a glut of new products. Whether that is good or bad for consumers is still to be determined...
There's a metal filter and a flow control filter cap. There's the Aeropress XL and the forthcoming Aeropress Premium. And there's the subject of our latest review, the Aeropress Clear.
The Aeropress Clear is literally just a clear plastic version of the original Aeropress. It's the same size and brews the same coffee. And it costs $10 more.
So is it worth it? It definitely looks nice, and there is some value in being able to watch your coffee brew.
If you're buying an Aeropress for the first time, the Clear is a great option. Even though it's a bit pricier, it's still an incredible value given its durability and the quality of coffee. On the other hand, if you already own an Aeropress, the decision on whether or not to upgrade is less clear.
