Hey coffee lover,
I know I just wrote a few days ago to say it's nearly pumpkin spice season... But in many parts of the world, it's still hot. Even where I live in Canada, we're in the midst of a little late summer heatwave.
So how about one more cold coffee recipe to get you through the dog days of summer?
I'm of the opinion that the shaken espresso series is a nice addition to the Starbucks summer menu. The drinks are tasty, relatively healthy, and unlike many Starbucks concotions, the dominant flavor is actually coffee.
They're also some of the easiest Starbucks recipes to copy in your home kitchen. Which is good news because I have never once ordered an "Iced Toasted Vanilla Oatmilk Shaken Espresso" without stumbling over my words. And don't even get me started on Starbucks insisting it be spelled oatmilk...
Our recipe stays true to the original, marrying toasted vanilla syrup, espresso, oat milk, and ice. (Except our toasted vanilla syrup is way better than Starbucks 😉). It's shaken to give it a rich, frothy body that has milkshake vibes without the calories.
It's sweet, cool, and refreshing -- perfect for summer's last gasp. Try it today with this...
