The Fellow Clara French Press falls into a category I encounter a lot when writing reviews and emails for this site. I call it, "Of course it's good, but is it good enough to justify its price?" Admittedly, I could come up with something a little snappier, but you get the idea.
Designing a French press that makes great coffee is basically foolproof, so it's no surprise that the Clara makes a great-tasting brew. And since it's coming from Fellow, you can trust that it's as beautiful as it is high quality.
But given that I just said designing a French press is foolproof, do you really need to pay $100 for one? That's a tougher question to answer.
The Clara certainly has some above-average perks. It's attractive, with a modern matte-black aesthetic that perfectly matches the rest of your Fellow gear. It has double-wall vacuum insulation to keep your coffee hot for hours. The mesh filter is well-constructed to keep your brew silt free. And so on...
