Hey coffee lover,
Expensive coffee is like expensive wine or chocolate.
Does it taste great? Usually. But people also buy it for the experience and the bragging rights.
Coffee can be expensive for a variety of reasons, some more legitimate than others.
It could be the infamous 'cat poop coffee.' Maybe it's a coffee grown using natural spring water high in the mountains. Or it could be a micro-lot coffee that received high cupping scores from the Specialty Coffee Association.
Whatever the reason, it's hard to argue that brewing and tasting expensive coffees can be a memorable experience.
Should you use it for your daily cuppa joe? Probably not, unless you're the heir to an empire (corporate or actual) 👑
