Hey coffee lover,
Here at Home Grounds, our mission is to help you brew better coffee at home. And the first step to brewing better coffee is buying better coffee beans.
Better coffee beans like Maxwell House? Well, not quite. No one is here to argue that Maxwell House is the best coffee out there.
But not everyone has the budget for specialty coffee or access to a good-quality local coffee roaster. So we think it's just as important to evaluate grocery store brands on their own terms.
Maxwell House isn't going to compete with the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe selling for $35 a pound, but how does it compare to other widely available budget brands? Is it a step up from a Keurig brew? Should you choose it over Lavazza? Could it be your gateway from instant coffee to a freshly brewed pot?
Those are the question we sought to answer in this...
...but if you're a specialty coffee fan, feel free to skip this one.
