From Kev, complete Gaggia setup including grinder, under £250!?

Hi ,

If you're someone who has been looking at getting into home barista espresso on a tight budget, you'll know how hard it is! The usual entry level for a standard basket espresso machine with grinder is normally at least £500, if not double that or more.

But Gaggia Direct told me today that they've decided to create some cost saving bundles for budding home baristas.

These bundles consist of either the Gran Gaggia, or the Gaggia Viva (more or less the same machines with slightly different controls and aesthetics), with a proper metal portafilter with splitter (not the usual mainly plastic portafilters) with standard basket, and the Gaggia MD15 grinder with shims included (to allow finer grinding for standard baskets) from under £250!

There's even the option to add a bottomless portafilter, for £25.

Check Them Out!

Just be aware that you have to tick the box to select that you want the standard portafilter (it's free, but you have to select it) and if you want the bottomless portafilter don't forget to tick that box too.

It comes for instructions on fitting the shims, and I'm going to be doing a video on that too very soon.

While I'm here, another update is that Best Coffee (the guys behind the Best Coffee App) are offering a 20% discount code on all coffee cups from the Loveramics range.

Best Coffee offer loads of other products, includig Hario, Aeropress, Felicita, Opal & Comandante, and this discount will work on most of these products, and more!

Literally all you have to do is put your name and email address into the box to enter, that's it, no catch.

If you've already entered, don't forget to use the link that you'll have received when you entered, to share the giveaway with friends and family. When people sign up using your link, you get more entries, so more chances to win.

Please note. Prize will be sent only to address within mainland UK or Northern Ireland. If you're outside of the UK and you want to enter, that is absolutely fine as long as you can provide a UK delivery address if you win.

By the way, if you have entered and you didn't receive the notification until a couple of days ago, apologies. The app had a bit of a glitch, all is good now.
