If you love coffee the way the team here at Home Grounds loves coffee, you may have on occasion wondered how much is too much of a good thing.
Did I really need that sixth cup of coffee? Is my heart beating too fast? What are the odds I'm getting to sleep tonight?
We did some research into the caffeine content of our favorite coffee beverages, including drip, espresso, instant, and cold brew, to find the answers. As it turns out, this is a subject rife with myths. For example, did you know that roast level has very little impact on caffeine content?
The good news is that unless you have an inherent sensivitiy, caffeine is a tough drug to overdose on. But you do need to be wary, especially if you're doubling up on caffeine with drinks like the dirty chai, cafe mocha, or red eye.
