Before reviewing Green Mountain Coffee, I was under the impression that it was just the brand that makes Keurig K-Cups. Perhaps you've made the same error.
While the two brands are significantly intertwined, there is much more to Green Mountain Coffee than their famously (or infamously) non-recycleable single-serving pods.
Green Mountain actually started as a small cafe in Vermont. Along with the ubiquitous K-Cups, they sell whole beans and pre-ground coffee. They offer balanced blends and unique single origins. They have a fun selection of flavored coffees. They've even implemented an impressive collection of sustainability initiatives.
Specialty coffee this is not, but if you're looking for an affordable way to add fresh coffee to your life, don't write off Green Mountain. Or at least not before you've read this...
