INVEST IN YOURSELF
I grew up in a middle class family in India. My parents were frugal but they were very clear about what was an expense and what was an investment.
Our TV lasted for 15 years! People thought it was a black and white TV, but in fact it was a color TV! The TV was an expense that had to be minimized.
On the other hand, when I was preparing for the IIT JEE (one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in the world), my parents told me that education was an investment in my future. I was given a blank check to buy whatever books I wanted. For Physics alone I had the following books in my mini library:
- Concepts of Physics Vol I and II -- H. C. Verma.
- Fundamentals of Physics -- Halliday, Resnick & Walker.
- Exam Prep books from Brilliant Tutorials.
- Exam Prep books from Apex Academy.
- Lessons in humility by I. E. Irodov. Ok, that's a joke.
These books were expensive, and at times I hesitated before buying some of them. My parents, on the other hand, never batted an eyelid because for them education was an investment which was guaranteed to pay dividends later.
The reason I am telling you this story is that this is the right time to invest in your AI education. It is always a good time to invest in yourself.
