Hey coffee lover,
Recently, the Home Grounds team has been doing a deep dive into coffee varietals.
Sure, the topic might seem esoteric... Is it really important to know more than just the difference between Arabica and Robusta to brew great coffee? No, not really. But that doesn't mean it isn't fascinating.
For example, Parainema is actually an Arabica-Robusta hybrid. But while many Arabica-Robusta hybrids have low cupping scores, Parainema coffee is the exception. In fact, one even won the 2017 Honduran Cup of Excellence, a highly competitive coffee cupping competition.
Parainema coffee pairs the sweet and complex flavors of Arabica with the natural disease resistance and hardiness of Robusta. It's a real best-of-both-worlds situation.
To learn more about the delicious hybrid variety and why you definitely need to brew yourself a cup, read this article...
