Pray for Hawa, whose family has lost everything because of drought.

| Around the world, communities are experiencing life-threatening levels of hunger and malnutrition on an unprecedented scale. Families are struggling to meet their food needs due to the effects of conflict, displacement, climate change, COVID-19 and rising costs. In Somalia, after successive droughts killed their livestock and destroyed their food and water supplies, Hawa's family sought refuge in an informal settlement. They even lost their donkey to starvation after traveling for two days to reach their destination. | | | | |

| Our communal prayer makes a difference, for "where two or two or three are gathered together in [Jesus'] name, there [he is] in the midst of them." Together, let us pray for Hawa, for all our sisters and brothers affected by hunger, and for an end to global hunger and its causes. | | | | |

Your prayers help to build a more just world in which all people can access food and other necessities to survive in this time of peril and strengthen their health, stability and resilience. Thank you! Prayerfully, Catholic Relief Services and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops | | | |
