Is there any more confusing term in the coffee world than Mokka? Or is it Moka, Mocha, or Mokha? Are they all different things? Spelling variations of the same thing? Sigh...
If you're confused, you're not alone. So was I before I wrote this article on Mokka coffee.
It turns out that while Mokka (the bean), Mocha (the tasty chocolate drink), Moka (the pot), and Mokha (the city) aren't the same, they do share a common ancestor -- the Yemeni port city of Mokha, an early center of the world coffee trade.
