Hey coffee lover,
Coffee beans from China?
Yes, they're making a splash on the international coffee scene now. Some highly-rated specialty coffee has started coming out of the Yunnan region. Coffee experts specifically note these as having an unusually creamy mouthfeel. And that's amazing because just a few years ago, China was not even drinking specialty coffee!
But with coffee drinkers growing at 30% per year, the coffee business is booming.
Now, thanks to some specialty roasters, you can even sample some of these coffees right in your home. Fancy a dark roast that tastes of toasted marshmallow, chocolate, and dark cherries? How about the bright flavors of honey, quince, and black tea that come to the fore in a light roast?
If this is the state of Chinese coffee today, one can only imagine what heights it'll reach in the next decade. But for now, we'd like to showcase our favorite Chinese coffees in our article…
