Hey coffee lover,
Brewing coffee at home is very rewarding. You get to enjoy a nice hot (or cold) cuppa without having to change out of your pajamas.
But sometimes, you end up with an unsavory brew. It even happens to professional baristas.
This leads to the other great thing about homebrewing—you can fix your brew. Tweak a parameter by a couple of notches, and you could end up with the best tasting brew you've ever made.
But first, you've got to identify what exactly you don't like about the coffee you've brewed. Like, is it too bitter, too flat, too watery, etc? The more you brew, the better you'll get at it. Once you've identified what aspect of the brew you'd like to change, you need to adjust the right brewing variable.
I know it's starting to sound complicated, but it isn't. Because we've got a cheat sheet to help you out with this part—the coffee compass.
So the next time you want to improve the taste of your coffee, just follow the steps in our guide…
How to use the Coffee Compass to brew better coffee
