From Kev, The Coffeeworks 2.0 - Complete Relaunch!

Hello fellow coffee botherers :-),

I have some rather big news to share with you today, and that is - The Coffeeworks 2.0!

We are completely relaunching The Coffeeworks, today, including a brand new improved range of coffees.

I'm really excited about this, it's something we've put a lot of time and effort into, and the result is amazing improved range that I can't wait for you to try, plus completely new systems and infrastructure behind the scenes which will dramatically improve our service.

Why?

In a nutshell, we just weren't quite delivering the quality of service and product that we'd set out to offer. We did try our best to improve things with the previous setup, but we just couldn't quite get to where we needed to be.

Customer service and quality of coffee is at the heart of everything we do and stand for so we've upped our game and made everything better.

Increased Discount!

To celebrate the launch of The Coffeeworks 2.0, use code: coffeebotherers in the checkout for 20% off all coffees from 30th September to 31st October!

Complete New Range!

But don't worry... We've chosen very close (but better, I believe) replacements to the most popular coffees, as I'll get to shortly.

We put a heck of a lot of time and effort (including me drinking lots and lots of coffee, a difficult job, but someone had to do it!) into developing the new range.

The first thing to sort was replacing the best sellers.

Choc & Nut Honduras is now Choc & Nut Colombia, simply because the coffee that came closest to this flavour profile is this Colombian, which is a very high scoring (87.5!) speciality coffee from a small producer called La Laguna Siberia Reserva in Cauca Dept, Colombia

Custard Cream Costa Rica is now Custard Cream Nicaragua, and is another very high scoring coffee with an SCA score of 88, from a microlot in the tropical paradise of a nature Reserve in Jinotega, northern-central Nicaragua.

Dark Chocolate Sumatra is still a Sumatra Mandheling, so the name hasn't changed, but this is another brilliant coffee, SCA score of 84, and for me this is slightly better than the original, and that's saying something!

Two New Single Origin Decafs!

When it comes to the best sellers, the only one we weren't able to closely replicate is Caramelised Biscuit & Gingerbread Decaf.

However, we now have two single origin decafs both of which I think are amazing. Including Milk Chocolate & Caramel Honduras, certified Organic, Fairtrade & Rainforest Alliance, it has an SCA score of 83!

Brand New Coffees!

When it comes to the new coffees, there are some stonkers in here that I think you're going to love.

We have a new blend chosen specifically for bean to cup coffee machines, as it has the classic Italian flavour profile that many bean to cup users want, without being roasted to the usual dark profile which can cause issues for bean to cup machines.

We also have a cracking espresso blend that I've adopted as my new house espresso blend here in the studio, chocolate brownie blend. If you like a bold but chocolaty flat white, give this one a go!

We don't only coffees that are great for espresso, though. The range is much more inclusive, including some light roasted beans that are perfect for V60 or inverted aeropress. For example:

This is an amazing Kenyan, full of fruity and tangy complexity, and scoring a high 87 from the SCA.

And there are lots more! Just jump on the website and have a look.

Subscriptions

If you have a subscription, then unfortunately as you'll know (as an email has already gone out to everyone who has a subscription) we've had to stop all subscriptions in order to allow you to re-choose your coffees if you would like it to continue.

The good news is that we've increased the discount on Subscriptions to 15% from 10%. But what I'd recommend if you did have a subscription, is just try some of the new coffees (with the launch discount, details below) and if you love it, subscribe and save for a permenant 15% discount.

I really hope you decide to give some of the new coffees a try while the extra discount is live, as I believe the new range has something for everyone.
