We love using natural process coffees like Funka, Grass Roots and Half-Speed in espresso martinis. Here's how to make an espresso martini at home.
You need: 50ml vodka, 50ml coffee liqueur, 50ml espresso, ice and a cocktail shaker (a large jar and lid will do).
First, brew your espresso using an espresso machine, a mokka pot or an aeropress.
Next, fill your cocktail shaker with ice then add your vodka, coffee liqueur and espresso. Make sure the lid is on (v. important!) and shake vigorously for 30seconds to a minute.
Once shaken, slowly pour and strain (use a cocktail strainer or a seive) into a martini glass. A slow pour will mean you get more beautiful foam on the top of your cocktail.
Garnish with three coffee beans for health, wealth and happiness.
