Hello trend,
This is Satya Mallick from LearnOpenCV.com.
Two weeks back, we have started publishing a new video on our YouTube channel every week.
Today we have a new video that explains
- What is One Hot Encoding?
- Why do we use it?
April Fools' Jokes
On April 1, 2022 I made two terrible jokes.
1. OpenFlowTorch
LinkedIn post claiming OpenCV, PyTorch, and Tensorflow will merge into one library called OpenFlowTorch (logo below).
Little did I know that it would reach 400k people! While most people got the joke, I would like to make it clear that it was indeed a joke.
2. OpenCV Hindi Version
The second joke was about releasing a Hindi (Indian Language) version of OpenCV. You need to know Hindi to understand the joke.
Oh yes, I do know how to speak Hindi and Odia, and can understand Bengali and Punjabi, and a few other languages if you speak slowly.
Starting is Hard
A "well wisher" recently told me
Ouch!
When we start something new, we are initially not very good at it. It takes months and sometimes years to acquire and improve our skills.
Experimentation is an integral part of the learning process. Some of our experiments will fail in public, and we will inevitably look like a fool.
Some people will laugh at us! So what?
We will show up every day to do our work. We will learn from the best teachers and find a tribe of fellow students on the same path.
Day in and day out, our skills will compound, and our confidence will rise. And one day, we will be so good, they can't ignore us.
My goal is to reach 100k subscribers on YouTube by the end of this year.
The goal looks impossible today; we have less than 6k subscribers.
But with a relentless focus on providing value to the community, our goal will look possible, then probable, and finally inevitable. [Phrase borrowed from Hal Elrod].
Stay hungry, stay foolish!
Cheers!
