From Kev, Discounts for Mother's Day - and What is Americano?

Afternoon fellow coffee botherers :-),

Firstly, don't forget mother's day on Sunday! If you'd forgot, there's still time, and if mum or gran loves coffee, then I've got a great idea for you :-). Get her some lovely, freshly roasted coffee beans, from me :-).

Use the discount code: cbmum at cworks.co.uk - valid until Friday night.

If mum doesn't have a grinder, don't forget that we'll pre-grind to order if required, literally as we're bagging it up.

So that's mum sorted. Next, what is Americano, and where did it come from?

It's espresso with water poured on top (different to long black which is water first)? No

It originated during the second world war due to American soldiers finding espresso too strong? No...

I mainly did this video to explain how to make Americano, but when researching it I found so many people confidently stating myths as facts, that I found myself jumping on my soap box! ;-).

The one about ww2, as you'll see I'm saying I "think" that's a myth, I don't know for sure, and WW2 may have had something to do with it, but as I say in the video, this explanation just doesn't quite make sense.

Please remember to slap the like button for me, ta :-),

Thanks again,

Kev
