From Kev. A quick heads up...

Hello fellow coffee botherers :-),

I've said in a couple of emails and posts over the past few months that I suspect pricing is about to increase on coffee machines.

Not just coffee machines, most things I suspect, as a combination of issues shooting off from Covid & Brexit, export/import cost increase, shortage of materials, etc.

As you'll know I left my full time job at the end of May to focus on the blog and YouTube channel full time.

I worked for a manufacturing firm (home textiles) and just before I left we were being warned of price increases coming in from various suppliers of up to 25% - these kinds of increases can't not end up being reflected in the price we pay for stuff, and I hear it's impacting on practically all industries.

In our case some of it was the increased cost of getting materials into the UK, and in some cases materials are in so much demand that they have risen considerably in price. Some of these prices will drop back down, but not all, and even those that do drop down probably won't drop to what they were.

I've just noticed Sage have started to increase their pricing.  It's happened so far on a few of their machines including the Barista Pro and touch, Oracle and Oracle touch - BUT, not yet on the Dual Boiler, Dynamic Duo (Dual boiler + Smart Grinder Pro), Bambino Plus or Barista Express, or the grinders.

To be fair, the increases aren't as bad as I think they could have been, but still, if you're considering buying one of the machines they've not upped the price on yet, you may want to get a move on, as I suspect all machines will be subject to the price increase.

Click here to check the current pricing, and don't forget to email me if you want the discount code, as I do have one at the minute.

That's it for now, I need more coffee!

Thanks again,

Kev
