Hi trend,
This is Satya Mallick from LearnOpenCV.com
First, let me congratulate you for your interest in AI, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning.
You are in the right place at the right time in history as the field is exploding with possibilities. It is attracting top talent from around the world and there is an infectious enthusiasm every where.
We are the cool kids again :P.
The job market for engineers and programmers with AI skills is growing at a massive scale.
In just a few years, a programmer without basic knowledge of AI concepts will be like an engineer without programming skills today. UNEMPLOYABLE!
So, it is a pleasure to introduce you to the world of AI. Let me begin by sharing some popular posts in our blog.
Need installation help?
We have a series on Installing OpenCV, Dlib, and Deep Learning frameworks on various platforms -- OSX, Linux and Windows.

If you are a beginner, you may be overwhelmed by everything out there. That is why we created this gentle introduction to many important topics in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. You can start with
Image Recognition and Object Detection
and then move on to an introduction to Neural Network and Deep Learning for beginners.
Neural Networks : A 30,000 feet view for beginners
While Deep Learning is a very important part of Computer Vision, the field of Computer Vision is much more than Deep Learning.
Next, we share some interesting tutorials on traditional computer vision techniques.
We have a couple of posts on Image Alignment solving some interesting problems.
You should also check out a very practical post on using Bar Code and QR code scanners.
Oh, you want to dig deep into the theory to understand what goes on under the hood? You will enjoy our post on Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) which is used for object detection.
Official AI courses by OpenCV.org
A few years ago I started getting a lot of email from subscribers asking for detailed, step-by-step coverage of key Computer Vision and OpenCV topics. After talking with OpenCV.org about how to keep the community strong, we came up with the idea of creating a series of official OpenCV courses that would be funded through a Kickstarter OpenCV campaign.
I hope this email was useful and informative. Happy hacking!
Cheers!
Satya
