What a scandalous week.
| | Art and design sites aren't traditionally the most controversial places on the web, and you probably don't come to us for scandal. But phwoar, what a week. Logos have received complaints. Ads have received complaints. Thank goodness we've had the soothing sight of a perfectly square February calendar to calm us down. |

| Perhaps the most scandalous story of the week was that of Myntra's "offensive" logo, the first logo we've ever known to receive a police complaint. Honestly? Our minds never even went there – but now we can't unsee it. Meanwhile, our Most Irresponsible Ad of the Week award goes to Ryanair, whose ridiculously tone-deaf TV spot has just been pulled – after receiving the third-highest number of complaints for any UK ad in history. Oof. Okay, some calmer news. Ah yes, good old Apple rumours. It's been a big week for iPhone 13 intel, with not one but two huge leaks about the upcoming devices. Not every logo we've seen this week has been a shocker. YouTube has announced it will feature a new logo every week for Black History Month – and the first was delightful. And this brilliant animated "perspectival" design for social change charity Perspectiva might just be the most mesmerising logo we've seen. Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to stare at February in my calendar for an hour. Daniel Piper News Editor
