Creative Bloq Week in Review
| | When T.S. Eliot said April is the cruelest month, he'd clearly forgotten about January. It's cold, it's dark and Christmas is a distant memory. This might not sound like a very cheery start to a newsletter, but guess what – tomorrow is February, which means it's nearly Spring, which means it's basically nearly Christmas. Just one more day to get through, folks. I believe in you. Right, art and design. It's been a big week for new logos, hasn't it? First came Post-It's new look, which seems to have divided opinion (some Like-It, others Hate-It). Then The White House chimed in with a positively presidential new design. |

| Then Coca-Cola decided to go a step further and do away with its logo entirely. Because why not? Clearly there are no rules in 2021. We'll have whatever the marketing team at Coca-Cola is drinking (probably Coca-Cola). Meanwhile, the Most Unfortunate iOS App Icon Design Flaw of the Week award goes to Amazon, whose new icon has drawn a rather unwelcome comparison on Twitter. It'll be interesting to see whether the company decides to tweak it now that things have got a little, er, hairy. Finally, some Apple nuggets (now there's an image). Last week we told you the MacBook Pro and iMac were getting a facelift, and now it seems the MacBook Air is in line for the same treatment. We also saw a brand new iPhone SE concept which is absolutely stunning, in that probably-won't-happen sort of way. Thanks, and see you on the other side (of January). Daniel Piper News Editor
