Signs point to Apple making its Seattle presence clear

No more ‘incognito mode’ for Apple in Seattle: After flying under the radar for several years in the land of Microsoft and Amazon, Apple is making its presence clear in the city for the first time. The signs outside the company’s new building at 333 Dexter are a departure from its stealthy past in the city. The company’s name wasn’t even listed in the lobby directory of a downtown skyscraper. The company has built a large engineering presence in the city, in part through a series of acquisitions focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence.
