Hello, and welcome to the very first Creative Bloq Week in Review. Congratulations on making it through the third week of 2021, or the fifty-fifth week of 2020, or whatever it is right now. It's been a big week for news, with huge changes taking place across the world stage (I am, of course, referring to Apple's decision to finally redesign the iMac). Like many industries, the world of art and design is still reeling from the events of last 12 months – but said events are still spawning countless examples of generosity and ingenuity from within the creative community. Digital artists will be chuffed to hear that Serif's brilliant 3 months free deal for all Affinity apps is back, and if you can face looking back on 2020 (just this once, it's worth it), this hilarious side-scrolling 2020 Game might just be the most fun thing to come out of a really-not-at-all-fun year. Elsewhere, little-known tech startup Apple has been the subject of a few rumours and leaks. From the aforementioned iMac redesign to a fresh new look for the MacBook Pro, it seems the Mac range could in line for some new product designs for the first time in several hundred years. (Note: my perception of time may have taken a hit over the last few months.) Finally, if there's one thing we've come to appreciate lately, it's that sometimes you just have to laugh. With that in mind, may I divert your attention to quite possibly the worst graphic design job ad of all time. Thanks, and – in the words of everyone ever – stay safe. Daniel Piper News Editor
